Monday, Monday

If it weren’t for this sunny window, I might not get up in the mornings.
While I wait ever so impatiently for the coffee to brew, I water my little darlings and keep repeating this idiotic mantra, “It’s gonna get better.” (Been sayin’ that since October.)
Jasmine Blossoms really & truly do have an intoxicating fragrance.
They may not look like much but that’s not their fault. It’s my shaky coffee hand when I took this photo. Kept wondering what that intoxicating aroma could be in my living room. I mean… Bad Dog sleeps in there and he smells anything but intoxicating.
Mondays are the hardest. That’s when I face 5 days of listening to people say no. Or, lying to me and saying yes. Only to send me a creepy email later saying: “On second thought, no.”
Ms. Orchid is now showing off 9, count ‘em 9, blossoms.
This is not a good time to be a freelancer. Or, any fool depending upon a paycheck of any kind.
However! It is most certainly a good time to be a flower.
Is there such as thing as Horticulture Alzheimer’s? Edna is old as the hills and while I do appreciate an extra 100 Easter Cactus blossoms I wonder if I should remind her that she did this over Christmas, and Valentines Day and if she doesn’t stop pretty soon I’m afraid she might explode.
* Edna has been my girl since I was 19 years old. And, she’s easily 90, maybe more. She’s never bloomed this long in all the time I’ve known her. Do you suppose she’s trying to tell me something?
